Cassie Fennell
Let’s be honest… most people don’t wake up excited about their accountant.
That’s where I’m different. I’m a qualified tax advisor and licensed accountant, yes but more importantly, I bring energy, clarity, and a genuine passion for helping businesses actually grow, not just stay compliant.
Of course, I’ve got the essentials covered. Self-assessments, tax returns, company accounts, corporation tax, HMRC and Companies House all handled properly, efficiently, and without the usual headache. I’ll also take care of the day-to-day bits like VAT, payroll, and bookkeeping so everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
But that’s just the baseline.
What I really love is getting under the skin of your business helping you understand your numbers, spot opportunities, improve profits, and feel totally in control. No jargon. No confusion. Just clear, straight-talking advice that actually makes a difference.
With a Diploma in Tax Technology (DITT) through the CIOT and my work as a profit improvement coach, I don’t just keep you up to date I help move you forward. Smarter systems, better decisions, more confidence.
So no… I’m not your “traditional accountant.” And honestly? That’s a good thing.

When I switch off (well… sort of), life is just as busy and brilliant. I’ve got a super supportive husband and two amazing daughters one finding her strength(and love for racing!) at Selby Leisure Centre, and the other flipping her way through Acro gymnastics at SCGC.
I’m a big runner myself and love being part of the community through Selby Striders and our local parkrun. I’ve also recently joined the Chartered Institute of Taxation committee because I’m always looking to learn more, give more, and make a bigger impact.
I bring that same energy, positivity, and drive into every single client I work with.
Dan Masterson
Hello, I am Dan Masterson, your payroll expert, always eager to discuss wages, auto-enrolment, and CIS.
Outside of work, I relish evenings out for dinner and drinks with my partner, cheering for my beloved Arsenal, and taking our two dogs for walks. I am also a member of Selby Striders and participate in the occasional marathon. As a self-proclaimed food enthusiast, I am willing to try anything, although nothing quite compares to a fully loaded Christmas dinner.

Rachel Clayton
Hello, I am Rachel Clayton, I have just joined the CFA Tax team as office administrator and look forward to taking your calls and answering your emails.
Beyond my professional life, I am blessed with three amazing kids who definitely keep me on my toes. I have a penchant for sweets, and a delicious dessert is hard for me to turn down. Our movie nights usually feature Marvel films, with Thor and Guardians of the Galaxy being favourites among us. I love to travel, and I make it a goal to discover a new city each year.

Isabella Fennell
I’m Isabella, and after finishing high school, I’ve joined the team at CFA Tax while I prepare for the next chapter of my journey.
At the moment, I help with newsletters, bulk emails, digital software and all the behind-the-scenes jobs that keep the business running smoothly. I’m also learning a little bookkeeping and getting hands-on experience in a real business environment. I enjoy practical learning and love keeping busy, so this is the perfect place for me to build new skills.
If you come along to Wednesday Wins, you’ll probably see me with my mum, Cassie, although she definitely does enough talking for both of us! I’m incredibly proud of everything she has achieved, and she inspires me to work hard, dreambig and believe that anything is possible.
Although I’ve grown up around accountants, I won’t be following Mum into the world of tax. Numbers just aren’t my thing! My ambition is to become a physiotherapist, and I’ll soon be starting my training. In the meantime, I’ll be aroundCFA Tax supporting the team, helping them stay up to date with digital technology, and learning as much as I can about business before I begin my future career.
Outside of work, I love running, spending time with my friends and, of course, a bit of shopping. I used to be a keen gymnast and I also enjoy being creative with makeup artistry. One of my biggest dreams is to travel the world and experience as much asI can. Who knows where life will take me but I’m excited to find out! 😉
